Setting up custom domain name to blogger/freenom

Now that we have registered a new domain name, linking it with blogger account is fairly simple. If you are new here and missed the free domain registration part just visit the link below register a free domain of your choice and come back.

• How i got a free domain in 2017

Step 1: Got to blogger dashboard>>Setting>>Basic:

• Click on +set up a third-party URL for your blog

• Type in your registered domain in the box and click save located below.

we will get this Error 12 message, no worries this is what we need.

we will make use of what is inside the green border later.

Step 2:Go Freenom client area >>services>>my domains

• Click on manage domain

You will see something like this:

• Click MANAGE FREENOM DNS.

Enter this four series of number in the green box below one by one by adding more records.

216.239.32.21

216.239.34.21

216.239.36.21

216.239.38.21

• Your final box should look like this.

• The last two entry is taken from the Error 12 message that we got earlier in blogger.

• Notice the changes in type for above four number series as A while last two entry has type CNAME.
• when all of the these thing are done, save changes

If you have done things correctly,you will get this:

Step 3: After successfully saving, repeat step 1 again
head back to blogger dashboard>>setting>>basic>>Set up third party url for blog

• Try saving again like you did in step one. If it doesn't work wait for a while and try again. It should work.

You have successfully set up custom domain name for your blogger blog and you will see this page shown below.

Now you have to redirect your traffics form the default blogspot domain name to the new domain name.

• For that click Edit.

Check that option in red and hurahhh...!

JOB DONE!
